Workshop on Forest Genetic Common Gardens
27-29 November 2024. Madrid, Spain.
Genetic trial networks, essential for studying forest tree species' adaptation, evolution, conservation, and sustainable use under climate change, now need re-evaluation due to advancements in phenotyping, genotyping, and environmental modelling.
The "Workshop on Forest Genetic Common Gardens," sponsored by IUFRO and held in collaboration with the EU-funded projects OptFORESTS and FORGENIUS and the Spanish genetic tests network (GENFORED), will address these needs.
Supported by IUFRO Units 2.02.13, 2.04.00, and 2.04.02, the workshop will focus on enhancing the analysis of these networks to support forest ecosystems amidst climate change.
