EUFORGEN Webinar #1: case study on ash dieback and its consequences on genetic diversity
Webinar #1 - 3 February 2023 (11:00 - 12:00 CET)
How can biotic outbreaks be addressed from a genetic perspective? How do diseases spread and what are the alternatives for tree conservation in case of outbreaks? Can trees develop tolerance to attack environment? Using ash dieback as a case study, all these and many other key questions will be discussed during the February EUFORGEN webinar series "Biotic outbreak management of the Genetic Conservation Units Network: case study on ash dieback".
The first online session will focus on the spread and invasion of diseases and pests affecting ash populations. The guest speakers for Webinar #1 are Michelle Cleary, forest pathologist, and Rimvydas Vasaitis, researcher and a field mycologist, both from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU).
