FOREST EUROPE's Implementation Report, presented at the 9th Ministerial Conference, outlines significant strides in sustainable forest management, emphasising EUFORGEN collaboration and progress towards commitments made under the Bratislava Declaration and climate adaptation strategies.

FOREST EUROPE presented its Implementation Report for the period 2021-2024 at the 9th Ministerial Conference held in Bonn, Germany, from 1-2 October 2024.

The document informs on the progress made by signatory countries in implementing their commitments under the Bratislava Declaration “The Future We Want: The Forests We Need” and the Resolution “Adapting pan-European Forests to Climate Change,” signed during the 8th Ministerial Conference held in April 2021. Notably, several signatory countries highlighted their work on forest genetic resources through the EUFORGEN programme, which is their means to implement the Ministerial Declaration and Resolution.

The report outlines the significant advancements made in sustainable forest management over the past four years and showcases how FOREST EUROPE has promoted resilient practices, supported biodiversity, and enhanced collaboration among states.
