Towards an integrated strategy for the conservation of Mediterranean forest genetic resources

The event will take place in the context of the 6th Mediterranean Forest Week which will bring together a diverse range of participants to consider how Mediterranean forests can assist countries in the region to achieve their goals under the Paris Agreement.

 

This side event aims to allow participants of the sixth Mediterranean Forest Week to share experiences, perspective and vision on the conservation of forest genetic diversity around the Mediterranean.

It will be an opportunity to learn how European countries have agreed to conserve FGR through the Pan-European strategy for conservation of forest genetic resources. The side events also aims to set the basis for a coordinated Mediterranean FGR conservation strategy.
