Publication

This document includes summaries for both the second and third meeting of the Conifers Network. The second meeting was held on 20-22 September 2001 in Valsaín, Spain and the third meeting was held on 17-19 October 2002 in Kostrzyca, Poland. The meetings included updates on the status and progress in gene conservation of conifers in member countries. Recent research and future technical guidelines were also discussed. The report includes papers on ‘Conservation of conifer genetic resources’ and on ‘Genetic conservation and restoration in areas affected by industrial pollution’.
