Funding agencies

We gratefully acknowledge our funding agencies’ commitment, support and contributions.

The work of EUFORGEN is possible thanks to the financial support of funding agencies in member countries. The funding agencies enable the collaboration of the network across the European countries to develop genetic conservation strategies, develop guidelines for the use of genetic resources and disseminate new research and knowledge to practitioners and professionals. In addition the funds facilitate the maintainence of the secretariat to organise and administer EUFORGEN’s activities.

Ultimately, the financial contributions support safeguarding of the genetic diversity of European tree species which is vital to ensure resilient and sustainable forests are able to face the changing climate.
